Reply: For such a small amount (about Rs 35000) , there should not be any
problem in sending money from India to Malaysia. You can arrange for money to be
sent by foreign currency draft .
Sending money from Malaysia To India
Many Indians in Malaysia transfer money to India by Telegraphic Trasfer through a Malaysian bank - Bhumipatra Bank of Commerce. This bank has a tie-up with ICICI bank. The transaction charges (as of Jan 2006) are in RM are as follows:
Amounts upto 5000RM - 30RM
More than 5000RM - 25 RM
